Bradford Pals Memorial Service

Members of the GWS YORK & LANCASTERS Unit will be in attendance at the BRADFORD PALS Memorial service, Civic Square, BRADFORD. This is the Society's annual parade in commemoration of the sacrifice of the Bradford Pals at their memorial in the city centre.

RAF Museum - Hendon

Unveiling of the Royal Air Force Museum's exhibition to mark the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Royal Flying Corps. This date also commemorates the day in 1912 when the Corps sustained its first casualties, when Captain LORAINE & S/Sgt. WILSON died in a flying accident.

Society training event Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th with the AGM to be held on the Saturday evening.

Wrest Park - Bedfordshire

Special event at this beautiful English Heritage venue, to commemorate the important role of the house during the Great War as a convalescent hospital. The GWS will provide British infantry displays & demonstrations, plus our Casualty Clearing Station to demonstrate the early care of wounded troops. 25th, 26th & 27th August

Fulwood Barracks - Preston

Heritage Open Day at the splendid Duke of Lancaster's / QLR regimental museum, located within historic Fulwood Barracks. GWS YORK & LANCASTER Tommies will be in attendance, as usual, with training activities & displays to offer an insight into the everyday life of the Great War British infantryman.

RFC Stow Maries - Essex

Joint training and filming event at this unique Great War Home Defence Airfield. The filming element will focus upon the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Royal Flying Corps. The event is from 28th to 30th September.
