September 5th / 6th - local event for our Welsh Tommies at the National History Museum of Wales, and centred around their Edwardian / Great War-era farmhouse.

Lancashire Infantry Museum

Heritage Open Day at the splendid Lancashire Infantry Museum, located within historic Fulwood Barracks, Preston. GWS YORK & LANCASTER Tommies will be in attendance, as usual, with training activities & displays to offer an insight into the everyday life of the Great War British infantryman.

Tank Museum - Bovington

September 19th / 20th - GWS' second appearance at the Tank Museum in 2015, this time for their 'Warfare Through the Ages' event. Our 1917 British tank crew will, once again, be working with the 'Warhorse' Mk. IV Tank.

Loos - France

Battle of Loos Centenary event between 24th and 28th September. GWS LOOS 100!! This event will mark the Centenary of this oft-overlooked action - our infantry units will be based at a living-history camp in Loos itself, and will be taking part in a series of commemorative marches and official parades.

Peterborough Museum

October 10th / 11th - our 24th General Hospital staff will be supporting the 'Cavell, Carbolic and Chloroform' exhibition, in the 100th anniversary year of Nurse Edith Cavell's execution by the Germans. Visitors will have the opportunity to follow the evacuation of a soldier from the Front Line to a convalescence hospital in the United Kingdom, including a visit to the operating theatre. Black Country Living Museum

October 17th / 18th - another return to the excellent BCLM, this time for our Autumn training weekend. The visiting public will be able to see us as we go about our training activities in various locations about the site!!
